Lloyds TSB ppi?

hi there
i have both a loan and a credit card with lloyds, as well as my current account.
but my questions are, is it possible for ppi to be called something different but actually be the same thing, if so does anyone know what lloyds calls it?
secondly are lloyds one of the banks who are just paying out as long as you're entitled a refund? (i doubt this based on past dealing with lloyds)
thirdly, what the worst that can happen if i make a claim, is it just that they can say no, or could they turn around and insist i pay off all of my remaining loan/credit card etc...?
also may i ask how i work out how much to claim for?
many thanks for any help. i know everyone says the claim process is easy but i must admit it really seems difficult to me, i think because i strugle with the language of it, if that makes sense

Lloyds PPI is often known as in short LPI or maybe PPP, its the same as Payment Protection Insurance

In my experience I have just continued to make my reclaims on all loan ppi and credit card ppi, with my reasons I had for being mis sold, for example I was a houseperson which is the main reason they refunded me. I think the FSA would prefer if they would look into other accounts the same time, but not sure if these are doing this yet. Yet some companies do seem to be doing this.
thirdly, what the worst that can happen if i make a claim, is it just that they can say no, or could they turn around and insist i pay off all of my remaining loan/credit card etc...?
This will depend on your reasons, although in my experience I found it easier to make a reclaim on the loan ppi than the Credit Card PPI.
If the accounts are settled/paid off, then the refund should be awarded directly to you, but if you make a reclaim on an open account they may pay the refund towards the open account, in my case the active loan they did use the refund towards that loan, but received the interest by cheque and the settled paid off loans we received the money.
also may i ask how i work out how much to claim for?
when you make a reclaim, you do not actually require the figures, they will work all this out for you and send you a breakdown in due course when resolved.

Don't worry, its just a matter of completing a reclaim questionnaire, the lloyds website has direct details and the same reclaim questionnaire as on this site, so follow the procedures directly on the site.
I would complete separate questionnaire's, one for the CC and the other for the loan.
Hope this helps and good luck.

thanks for the help, i didn't mean would the money come to me or be taken off the remaining balance(that's fine as i'd be using the money for that anyway) what i ment was is it possible for lloyds to turn around no matter what the decision is about paying or not and demand that they want me to pay off the entire remaining balance? i.e i'd be in a situation where i wouldn't of gotten any money back and would in fact be worse off because lloyds would be wanting me to fully pay off my loan/credit card?0

ok cool, that was my major worry with doing this as i had visions of them going "you tried to get money from us, so now we're gonna make you pay us off everything you owe us" which to be honest wouldn't surprise me as a response from Lloyds tsb, but very glad to hear they can't do it. looks like i'm going to go for it then, as the worst that can possibly happen is that they say no, i go to ombudsman and still get a no response, so i've got nothing to lose! (although i do think i am deserving of a refund)0

The very best of luck, please keep us posted. Cheers.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
oh, one last thing, you said about keeping to two claims separate? so i'm assuming that means i basically treat each one as though the other didn't exist, i.e i fill out two forms, write two sets of letters etc...
thanks very much for your help on all this, as i said i'm sure this easy and i wouldn't use one of the company's to get a refund, but it does just seem daunting to me when the banks seem to go out of their way to use the longest and most difficult to understand possible ways of describing/writing everything in their replys etc...
i hate to think how much extra money the banks/gas/electricity/stores etc..... would be fleecing from us if Martin Lewis or this site didn't exist!0 -

Hi there
sorry for the delay in responding.
Personally yes for the same business I would still keep the complaints separately, to make sure there's no confusion etc, no harm in sending them in the same envelope though.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
