Hi
I've been shopping around for worldwide cover for myself and my OH for a trip to the USA. We both have Pre existing medical conditions and have both been to the gp in the last 12 months with new conditions that have now cleared up.
Most quotes were hundreds of pound some as much as £300. I know this is because of medical expenses in America.
I suddenly thought about seeing how much Nationwide will charge. As a flex account customer and I have extended the standard cover they offer to cover our PEMC and to add our daughter for our European Holiday.
I rang yesterday and was told that to extend it to Worldwide with our PEMC and disclosing the new conditions it will be £20 in total. I was flabergasted!
I've had confirmation of the cover today and the medical screening docs will be through in a couple of days.
I hope its not too good to be true but if it is correct then its very moneysaving.

I phoned them for the same reason the other day and was told it's an extra £20 a year to upgrade from European Cover to Worldwide Cover.
But they wanted an extra £70 on top to cover my PEMC, but £90 for a years cover is still cheaper than I paid last year for the same Worldwide Annual Cover (£120).0 -
I think its only £20 as I had already paid extra to cover my PEMC and add my daughter for our August holiday.
Yes, its still cheaper than £120 and much cheaper than my £300+The Cabbage
