Just bought a Beko Dishwasher DSFN1530S, just delivered and installed, ran the first cycle with the 1 litre of water in the dishwasher salt thing as they stated.
Just looked at the bottom and there must be at least 2-3 litres of water sitting in the bottom? Is this okay??
Scared to run it for real now incase it overflows!!!!
Waste pipe it connected to connection by the sink and whilst the cycle was running I felt the sink pipe and it was warm - I thought that would indicate water was draining???

In the base of the dishwasher itself or in the drain part?
Has the cycle actually finished - mine always manages to fool me into thinking it has because it stops but beeps at me if I try to open it.0 -
A couple of litres is quite normal. It shouldn't be at a higher level than the filter. The dishwasher will not overflow. You can open them mid cycle to add that dish that you forgot and you'll see it's just a shower of hot soapy water.:footie:

Thanks - but just drained using a measuring jug and it was definitely more like 5-6 litres.
Cycle had definitely finished
Think it was highers than the filter at the bottom?
Waste pipe isn't too curled or kinked no idea why this happening??2014: Beaulieu Family Ticket, Pregnancy Massage, Nuby Weaning Kit

there shouldn't be any water visable in the bottom above the filter
try running it again on the quick programme and see if it empties
was the plumbing already in place (i.e. are you just replacing an existing m/c)0 -
No this is our first machine....all linked up really nicely, obviously water inlet is working and electric no problem, just a problem with waste pipe??
The water outlet isn't far from the machine, the hose isn't kinked or really curved round, no higher than 85cm of the actually floor (our manual says it must between 50cm and 110cm).
Just can't understand it at all - checked the filters and not blocked???
Really annoying...I swear there always has to be something!2014: Beaulieu Family Ticket, Pregnancy Massage, Nuby Weaning Kit

You say it's connected to the sink waste - there's no blanking piece on either the pipe or where you've connected it is there? - how did you connect it and have you made sure the sink waste isn't blocked?0

I installed a Proline D/W recently for my Bowls club. I could not get it to work properly. It transpired that the fault was due to the drain not working. On examination I found that the hose connector on the sink waste was blocked by a moulding, Once the moulding had been cut off the machine worked perfectly well. So check that the waste from the machine is not blocked in any way.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0
