Time Scale for Reclaiming an over payment

Hi
Friend of mine has just recieved a letter about an over payment in 2004 she recieved and after an number of attempt to get them to take the money back they didn't.

Is there not a time limit on how long they have to reclaim?

Thanks

Unless things have changed, if the overpayment is the DWP's fault (and no fault of the claimaint) then they cannot claim it back, they cannot even send you a letter threatening to take you to court etc either.
