Nope it has not been proved to be unlawful. I personally believe it to be unlawful. Indeed you are almost certainly right that you were not 'offered' the chance to pay in GBP. You might have to be the MSE equivalent of a rocket scientist to know how to navigate Ryanair's website in order to avoid the surcharge. I feel sure that whichever authority should be prosecuting the behaviour also thinks it is unlawful, but until they are made to stop, Ryanair will do it anyway and I believe there is evidence that they are more greedy with it now than they have ever been in previous years.0

Martin - if you dislike Ryanair so much, why do you keep on giving them plugs on your weekly newsletter. The less publicity that LOATHSOME O'Leary has, the better. I have never flown them, and do not propose to offer them the chance to take advantage of me.0

Over the past few years we've flown to Budapest, Stockholm, Faro and Tallinn and we've never had a problem. You can see the price including all the extras you need to account for before actually buying the ticket so I don't see what the problem is. Sure, some of the adverts can be misleading but most people are aware that these aren't the prices you'll end up paying.
Even with all the extras it's cost us less for 2 return flights than 1 train ticket to London.
Without Ryanair we wouldn't have been able to visit the places we have and if people don't like them I don't see why they don't just use a different airline and have done with it!0 -

I think its about time that Passengers gave Ryanair the Two Fingered Salute that they are giving the OFT. I am mortally sick of jumping through hoops with RyanAir. I got the FairFX Card to purchase their flights and now I cant use that. I refuse to keep changing like this and although I have used RyanAir Services to Nimes many times from Liverpool , I have had enough and refuse to use them again. The problem is that the likes of RyanAir have conditioned us to look for' next to nothing' flights all the time and I think its about time that we accept that we have to pay a fair price for our flights, upfront and not like RyanAir do, quoting one prce and paying another. They profess to give value for money..no way, their planes are dirty, their staff in the main, far from smart and miserable (and who wouldn't be, working for the likes of Mr O'Leary)Its an arrogant Airline with an arrogant attitude and its about time we told them where to stick their CHEAP flights!0
