Does Virgin share T Mobile's network?

Doesn't this conflict with the quoted piece from Wikipdia above, or is there some subtlety in the wording that isn't obvious?
I'm getting more confused by the day.
OK I stand corrected, just been doing some research it seems its under trial at the moment.
So that should mean it's on it's way but it's not available to everyone at the moment - It is very hit and miss just the same as it was for direct Orange/T-Mobile Customers.
I thought it was strange as nothing has been made public at the moment.
So really it is still just T-Mobile 100% confirmed, but it's on trial now which is better news than who knows when its going to arrive.David

Sadly, Wikipedia is wrong is many ways on a lot of things - It's one of the main problems when having a source that anyone can edit.
As it stands from a 100% confirmed point of view, Virgin Mobile Customers can still only get onto the T-Mobile Network at the moment.
They are starting to trial the Roaming agreement with Orange but it's only a trial - it's not been made public or anything but once the trail is working it won't take them long.
So it's on it's way just not confirmed and for the full public use at the moment.
Hope this clears it up a bit!David

Thanks for that. It's a pretty shoddy situation, really, like so much that the mobile 'services' seem to get away with. Trying to get reliable information from them is next to impossible.
I've just been told by a different Virgin rep that they don't share with Orange - and no mention was made of when they will.
If their employees don't know, how are customers supposed to make correct decisions?
Sorry about the mini-rant. It's been so long since I switched suppliers that I'd forgotten how much sheer arseache dealing with any of these mobile cowboys can be.0 -

You will find they won't have a clue till the day it's switched on - if you are lucky! Lots at Orange didn't have a clue for a few days after the switch on date either and was asking other people what it was all about.David

You'd never realise these idiots like to pretend they're in the 'communications industry' would you?0 -

Seems the issue with most big players these days once numbers of customers get very very high... As long as the money comes in..
Why I like smaller companies, where customers are important and they want to return.David

I have just left Virgin, partly for coverage reasons. They currently can only use the t-mobile network, retentions tried to persuade me to stay saying they would also be using the orange network 'soon'.
I was about to leave Virgin for this reason, but i was told tonight that the Orange signal roll out starts from Sept 26th and completed nationwide by 2012.never put off buying a bargain today,it may be gone tomorrow0
