@Heinz- Is this still the cheapest and hassle free way to call OZ with SkyTalk?y

You mentioned this a while ago - Or you could just use http://www.callsdiscount.com/uk/'s 020 3347 3399 gateway number (which would be free to call on Sky Talk Freetime evenings and weekends).

0p per minute to call Australia.

I think it has changed according to here - http://www.callsdiscount.com/uk/index.htm

I need to make one phone call just now then more often as my sister is emigrating over there.
I know that 18185 can longer be used with SkyTalk.

Yes, the 020 3347 3399 number has very few uses now - it was obviously a loss-leader.

It looks like the MSE International CallChecker is the place to head!

However, 18185 can still be used with Sky Talk - you just have to use the 0808 1 703 703 gateway number instead of the 18185 prefix. The cost is the same - 2p/minute (so not the cheapest).
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
  • Didn't know that 18185 could still be used with Sky.
As i have an account with them will use the prefix you have provided.
2p per minute is still a better price than 27p!!

    Thanks again
