Hello all,
A friend of mine has just said that before the changeover the maximum overdraft he could get on his reward account online was £200, its let him do £1500 today! This despite him being overdrawn for most of it!
Surely that is not good if its allowing people to have increased overdrafts- I don't know if he was a one off or if everyone can at the moment as I haven't tried it as don't want an overdraft on my account
Considering he only adds £800 a month in there that's a massive increase

Yes ive noticed they seem to be giving large limits out since the move, just increased mine and i strugged to on the old system0

They have obviously set a fairly high o/draft limit for Reward customers, just worries me that it wont be only those people who need the overdraft who use this serviceJuly 2015 Wins- Shaun The Sheep Goody Bag, 4x Books

LTSB are much more generous with their ODs than Halifax.
They let me have a £3,000 OD on my account with them despite a monthly turnover of around half that at the time.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

How do you know what the max is? It used to be that you could enter 9999, and it would tell you how much you can have, I just tried it with £5000 (just to see, id never use that) and it came up with a pre contract info screenDebt free and staying that way! :beer:0

Yep, they now require you to enter an overdraft limit that is muliple of 10s and present you pre contract infomation before doing a credit search.0

Glad I upped mine before the switch then if they are gonna start credit searching, Ive only got £500, thats more than enough, and wont be used anyway, especially considering the charges!Debt free and staying that way! :beer:0

Well I just tested it to see and it let me go from having no overdraft on the account to £4990 which seems pretty large considering my monthly income would be around £1500 with them, have cancelled now thoughJuly 2015 Wins- Shaun The Sheep Goody Bag, 4x Books
