Went into a couple of Bolton town stores yesterday. The bigger one seemed to have sold out of most of their sale stuff, but the smaller one had more of a decent selection, though mre mens gift sets than womens, they did have the N07 items in (being male i didn't see what the fuss was about but figured they were good enough to give as a present so bought a purse thingy set anyway :rolleyes: }

Anyway, i also bought a Fish duo set, but when i ooked at the receit aferwards it hadn't scanned properly, should have been £1.75 (from £7) but it scanned at £4.35 - i figured there wouldn't be a problem getting the difference back.....what's that saying about never assume

The stroppy SA who served me yesterday was also on the til today and was under the impression that i had concocted this evil plan to earn £2.60! nah she never made a mistake in scanning the item, she told me to sort it out with the supervisor, so i did (she kindly came over to have another say whilst we were trying to sort it out) eventually it was due to the fact that an item in the gift set was scanned, rather than the whole pack (the individual item costs £4.35 on its own ) and the huge amount of £2.60 refunded, but it's the principle of the thing and some jobsworth, that means it's the sweetest £2.60


......just realised that should have probably goone on the rant board :rolleyes:

the moral of the story is check the receipt in store if possible.

The store I was in today still had the bagpuss hot water bottle covers at full price. Many of you have got them for £3.75. Same for some of the other bits.

I did get some sets at 75% off, but wanted bagpuss and dab radio. As they were unreduced I left them behind:(

Helllooooo? Where have I been to miss this??!! Been to Boots today and just bought the usual No7 Face Wipes with the voucher for £1...doh! My mind sometimes fails to compute more than one offer at a time but hopefully it will learn

im not confused im angry.I will phone tomorrow aswell to complain even though i don't need the set.I saw those sets behind a till yesterday morning so a staff member must have put them aside for buying after work but it was not avialable to customers-lots of little girls are going to be disappointed-alot of other glitter babes stuff is on sale.Its the same with the bagpuss hotties, 1 day they were in the clearance section, yesterday they were 75% off and today they were back on for full price.
I know how it must disappoint children i wasn't able to buy stella rose absolute instore at the sale price even though it was on at a reduced price online but not in stock.Not fair

Got some sale stuff today, went for a basket load of Totes socks thinking they were all 75% off, some are and some arent. So still paid full price for one item, but paid with my points. Sa didnt give me a voucher, so am i right to assume they wont hand out vouchers when you pay in points?

Have noticed sale is pretty desparate here, went back in today and stuff is just scattered over whole store, asked a sa what was in sale and was told sale stuff was in one section only. So had the Totes shelf all to myself as nobody else knows its (mostly) 75% off!

I obviously left it in the machine and somebody has swiped it.....gutted.
On the other hand though,the lovely (the only one ive had) rang customer services and got it cancelled for me,and thank god somebody hasnt used it.
Now im waiting 3weeks another card.:(

I'm always doing this - it's always still in the machine - there's a little box the card drops into - they open it up and I get it back.

I agree with you. My dd's nearly 6 and she hasnt seen any of it so not so bad but it's the principal.
Maybe we should all complain together!

i got:

no7 gift bag (purple one) bought two of these for 1.50 each using the 5.00 vouchers
no7 lipstick gift bag bought one of these for 1.50 using the 5.00 voucher
botanics gift bag (75% off one) bought two for 3.75 and got two body scuplting creams (should of been 6.99 for free) also used two 100 points codes out of the magazine
stella gift set including the tray glasses and lager for 3.75 :beer:
botanics lipbalm for 2.50 and got sculpting cream for 6.99 free plus used the 100 point voucher

i had to do it in three transactions but did them all with the same sa and she was laughing about the savings and didnt mind doing them at all (she was on the no7 counter)

so if they reckon the value of each no7 gift bag is 33.00 (though i dont know who would ever of valued it at that) i got 167.47 worth of stuff for 18.25 with 373 points

cant wait to pop back again in the morning :T :T :T
