  • Does anyone have any battleaxes working in their Boots?

Yesterday I spent £70 and had so much stuff I thought I wouldnt be able to carry down to the car myself. The SA had just started working (after whizzing around the store herself to get the bargains, fair enough) and she was all flustered, almost tutting at the amount of stuff I had, and feeling very sorry for the old lady behind me who had come to give her film reel in to develop some photos. Yes I was at the photo cash desk but so what. I asked her to call out some prices, she said she couldnt do that as it doesn't show up as you put them through the till but it's a 'saving' anyway. Then she mumbled and muttered about the safety hazard of leaving all the bags in the aisleway as I asked if I could run down to my car and swap with dh to come and collect my stuff. In the end I just took it all down myself. She wasnt mean but no way would she have welcomed separate transactions.

I think she was miffed that she didnt get more time to shop

    or

that they think we're greedy just because it's 75% off.

I don't know  but going back there now! :)

go back-clear the shelves-go to her-do it in separate small transcations to get all £5 vouchers and take AGES to find your purse!!!!Some SA s need reminding that without customers there wouldnt be much point in having SA s!!!!!!!

Made it to Boots in Edinburgh today and the No 7 treats went through at £1.75 somehow, i didnt complain just went and got another one. Also the SA who served me typed in a number to the til and gave me an extra 2000 points so well chuffed. :T

Also i bought the Toni and Guy travel hairdryer in the sale (last one) and she took the voucher i got in the previous transaction off manually.

Im looking for a FCUK wash bag set if anyone managed to get a spare. Want it for my mum she would love it for our holiday.

    Thanks

id take them to the till and ask them to scan them,i took a nivea mens gift set that was with the rest of the full price mens stuff and it scanned at £4 even though the sell said £16.
as for the sets if i had one to spare i'd gladly swap but i have 2 lovely little girly girls in my family who will love them.sorry.

Well last night I was thinking about all the gift sets I'd bought and realized that I hadn't bought many gifts sets for men. So decided to go back to the Wakefield store again this morning and see if there were any mens sets left.

A few of the shelves were bare, but there was still quite a lot of items left. This is what I found today:

4 x Mens botanics Face the Day gift sets down to 2.00 each (and got 4 botanics moisturing products free of course! :) )
1 x Ladies botanics gift set in small basket 2.00 (plus another free moisturiser)
2 x Mens Fish haircare gift sets with wallets 3.75 each
    1 x Mens 'Male' gift set 2.00
    1 x Badger set of 3 balms 2.75
    1 x Chilli Pepper eyes set 2.50
    1 x Kangol bath bomb set 1.50

I also got 2 of the No. 7 cosmetic bag sets with lipsticks on and was able to use a 5.00 voucher against each one. The burgandy ones with tassles also work in my store.

My SA was really helpful. She would put a few products through, then stop just after it hit 5.00 so I could benefit from the No.7/Haircare voucher. She put them into 4 transactions for me. I was really impressed with her!! This was at the No.7 counter, not the regular counter.

Ended up spending about 29 in total and saved 120. Add this to what I bought yesterday and I spent a total of 50 and saved about 250.

    I've also got 5 x 5.00 No. 7 vouchers and 7 x 3.00 haircare vouchers to spend :)
