Bridesmaid gift ideas please

We gave our bridesmaids personalised charm bracelets. We found a site (I'll try and dig it out) that does *thousands* of different charms, so we got 5 for each of them, each of which meant something to us about the bridesmaid in question.

We then wrote a little card about each bracelet and stuck it in the box - with something like this written on:
"Dear X, thanks so much for being our bridesmaid, we love you etc etc

Dancing Shoes - Because you love to dance
Ice Skates - To remind you of all our times down on the rink
Football - For the Manchester United fan...
    etc"

They went down really well, they all matched but were personal to each person.

What a great idea! If you could dig out the site that would be great :)
  • It depends on your budget? If it needs to be cheap and cheerful how about a nice photo frame with a photo of you both in and a thank you card?
Or if you have a bit more money you could get charm bracelets, or engraved jewellery.
I am putting a gift bag together for my 2 bridesmaids, with different things for each, but an example is
    *jewellery for the wedding
    *Yankee Candle
    *make up & smellies
*mini bottle of bubbly or wine
    *chocolates
*dressing gown and slippers with bridesmaid/maid of honour gem encrusted
    *personalised wine or champagne glass
Thats all Ive thought of so far. I'll give them the gift bags on the morning of the wedding.
Ideas, help and advice always welcome, judgements and assumptions are not!!

I'm only having two - my MOH (best mate) and my (kinda) niece, who will be nearly 7.

For the little'un, I'm thinking of buying a nice charm bracelet and a charm of a pretty dress or something to symbolise the wedding. Of course, then presents for the next few years are sorted.

As for best mate - I have NO clue. It might be paying to get her eyes lasered or similar.
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

  • I was a bridesmaid three times between the ages of 8 and 13 and never got a present - shows how times changes I suppose! (God, I sound old - I'm only 31, lol)

Anyway, I have bought my 13 year old niece a spaceform glass token that says' thank you for being my bridesmaid' and will get her some jewellery too.
