I am a new poster.
My best friend and ex partner recently took her own life
(her debt got too much for her to handle)
despite the fact that she had transfered most of it to me (or I had paid most of it on my credit card for her FLM loans, Logbook loans) all that sort of thing...Luckily her work death benefit covered most of the debt she left me (though her family were not happy I was the nominee not them)
However... she was a HUGE geroge michael fan and bought 1 VIP george michael ticket -£400 not a small figure
She bought it in her ticketmaster/ticketweb account but used my Mastercard.
I have sent in a letter to them asking for a refund and offering them a copy of the death ceritificate if they wish.
What do we imagine is my chances of a refund

Very sorry to hear of your loss and the horrible situation you're in.
Unfortunately I am unsure of whether you would be able to claim a refund.
A slightly different direction, how much would you like for the ticket?New Years resolutions...don't get my signature removed and set up an A-Team style MSE crack survival team. P.S Apparently mrb1 and David 32 hate me. This makes me sad0 -

I will not be hard to deal with shall we say0 -
Sorry for your loss. There is nothing in Ticketweb's terms and conditions that would entitle you to a refund under these circumstances. Any refund given would be at their discretion. If they do not agree to refund, I would look into selling privately or through a ticket broker (seatwave etc). I'm guessing from your username the ticket is for the Glasgow date of the tour. Giving you time to sell without any loss of face value.0

Thanks for your reply, but its one ticket for the vip section (dinner drinks aftrshow etc etc )
I dont even have the ticket.
I wont get the ticket until the evening of the event.
I cant imagine it will sell for anything like I paid..
I may have to go0 -
You are right, it is a lot harder to sell VIP ticket packages than standard tickets. The ticket brokers don't really sell them because they do not sell out like standard tickets. If you do not receive a refund from ticketweb, it might be worth trying the planetgeorge fanclub forum. They have a thread for sale/swap of tickets. Alternatively there is ebay, standard tickets for Glasgow are being sold by business sellers for around £90 (buy it now price). One seller is listing VIP tickets for Manchester date only at £200 (or best offer). I don't think it matters too much ticket is not in hand as long as you provide ticket confirmation/offer to meet buyer at venue.0
