And where exactly did I state anything to the contrary, hmmm?

That was aimed at you... more a general point for the people who may be about to post the same question of another provider...

Well I search for posts on the Barclays Regular Saver and nothing came up.
    cerebros,

If you look at the top of this page you'll see a search facility. Select "search chat forum" and then enter "barclays regular saver" in the search field.

You'll see that 25 results are returned - and this thread, being the most recent, is at the top of the list.

You're very optimistic in thinking they will find and read this thread before posting. ;)

As pointed out on several of the other threads, this is quite a useful calculator. Of course, you need to use the drop-down menu options as appropriate.

For instance, the calculator gives the answer to the quoted scenario as £3203.12 for a non-taxpayer (i.e gross) or £3162.50 for a basic rate 20% taxpayer.

(NB Of course, this assumes identical deposit amounts at the beginning of all months).

I did that and could see nothing discussing the issue I'm looking at which is why I posted in the first place.

OK yes I know its unlikely that they will have the same person in charge, even if their interest is calculated the same way...

The principle is the same. ;)

It seems to me that there is far too much tetchiness and impatience on the boards these days. :o
