best place to save money for less than 1 year 2-5k worth

Options
Hi all, new to posting here but been following the site for a month or so.

I am trying to plan/budget for my annual trip to las vegas, i currently have 2.5k to deposit somewhere to earn a little interest but everywhere i look it seems be to be you need to keep the money in the account for 1 year whereas i would be withdrawing the funding in may.

Any advice welcome

many thanks

  • just to clarify as no replies, i only have basic bank accounts from a bankruptcy years ago and therefore earn no interest in my current accounts, hence the above question.

    many thanks in advance

I would say prob a cash ISA would be your best bet.

Either that or drip fead into a regular saver if that will give you a higher interest rate.

I'm not sure if many other accounts will give you better than them over 1 year.

You might get more of a response over on the savings board, but to answer your question I think you'd be best getting an ISA, or have a look at Halifax's new range of savings accounts
Debt free and staying that way!
