The Kurt Cobain Jaguar is a meticulously detailed replica of the unusual 1965 model so often played by Nirvana’s enigmatic singer/songwriter/guitarist during the heady heights of the band’s meteoric early-’90s reign. With its shorter scale, humbucking pickups, non-standard controls and worn finish, it evokes one of modern rock’s most fascinating figures.

The grand-prize winner will also receive a limited run Nevermind 20th anniversary vinyl edition. Only 1,991 copies will be released worldwide, and we’ve secured one for our giveaway! This four-LP picture-disc set contains the re-mastered album, studio and live B-sides, pre-album demos recorded at producer Butch Vig’s Smart Studios, and “boombox” rehearsal recordings through which listeners can experience the sonic evolution of “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” “Come As You Are,” “On A Plain” and other album tracks.

3. DURATION: The Sweepstakes begins at 12:01 AM UK time on August 26, 2011 and ends at 11:59 p.m. UK time on October 10, 2011.

5. ELIGIBILITY: This competition is open only to persons in the European Union, excluding employees of Fender or any of its subsidiaries, affiliates or agencies, or members of their immediate families, or persons living in same household of each, are not eligible to enter or win. All entrants must be thirteen (13) years or older.

6. PRIZE: One grand-prize winner will receive the Kurt Cobain Fender Jaguar and the Nevermind 20th anniversary vinyl edition. The MSRP of the grand prize is £ 1,124.04. All taxes and shipping expenses associated with the redemption of the prize(s) are the responsibility of the winner(s).

7. ENTRY: Entries must be submitted online at fender.com or via SMS. To enter online, participants must provide first and last name, email address, date of birth, postal code and telephone number. To enter via SMS, participants must text Cobain to 60030, and then provide date of birth and email address. Text entires must be received by Sponsor on our before 11:59 pm BST on September 6, 2011. Online entries must be received by Sponsor on or before 11:59 p.m. BST on October 10, 2011. Only one entry per person is permitted. Online entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of registration. SMS entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the mobile device. Standard and message data rates may apply, per participant’s local cell phone provider. The use of automatic or robotic entry devices is strictly prohibited.

9. WINNERS: One grand-prize winner will be selected from among all eligible entries received, via a random drawing held within a week of the closing date of the contest. Odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible entries received. The Winner will be notified by Sponsor by e-mail or by phone. Undeliverable e-mail notification or failure to respond to prize notification given by phone by the Winner within 7 days of receiving such e-mail or phone call will result in forfeiture of the Prize. In the event of prize forfeiture by a Winner, Sponsor will select an alternative Winner via another random drawing from among all eligible entries.
