Dedicated phone line for Streamline

Hi we've just signed up for a Streamline deal but the paperwork says the line can't be shared with a burglar alarm line (which we have). This is a pain and presumably means we need to get another line in just for the Streamline which obviously puts the cost up by a considerable amount.

Or does it - can anyone suggest the cheapest way to get an additional line or an alternative way to use the Streamline which might work out cheaper, or something else I haven't thought of?

My brother uses Stream line card processing on the same line as a Red Care burglar alarm, without any problems.

I suppose on the odd occasions when your Streamline machine downloads updated software your burglar alarm would not work as it could not phone out.

I have one of their terminals and run it off the internet, basically most of their terminals can run off the phone line or alternatively connect to the internet using an ethernet cable that runs to your router. It just requires a call and a quick form to fill in and away you go. The ethernet connection is faster and will leave your phone line free for making calls and red care etc.
