just after some advice please, my partner gets industrial injuries benefit at the lower rate, and has only ever claimed this for hisself.
what we want to know is wether he can claim for a partner or not as the websites are somewhat confusing, also is he entitled to DLA, we both work full time although there are only certain jobs he can do due to his disability???
thanks for any replies

DLA can be claimed along with IIDB - DLA is not an out of work benefit, it is for those whos disabilities cause them to have extra care or mobility needs.
http://www.dwp.gov.uk/docs/dmgch69.pdf are the full conditions for IIDB.
As far as I understand it, there is no way a partner can be added to a claim - unless the claimant is ill enough to require constant attendance. (constant attendance allowance)
If he is ill enough to either be granted constant attendance allowance, or DLA with care at the higher or middle rate, and you care for him for over 35 hours a week, you may be able to claim carers allowance.
Carers allowance has a relatively low maximum income however beyond which it's not paid.0
