When i enquired about using my airmiles they said they were only useable on certain dates and the dates i wanted to go I couldn't use them,so no I dont think they are worth much.0

To be honest things like Flying Club are for frequent fliers, who may earn 25K miles in a month, and they will know the best times and ways to maximise value of the miles. If you're only flying once or twice a year then none of the programmes are really worth much.0

Then you need to do your research and plan ahead - it is common sense that award flights are limited in availability, especially at holiday times. To be honest things like Flying Club are for frequent fliers, who may earn 25K miles in a month, and they will know the best times and ways to maximise value of the miles. I am not an FF, I fly internationally four times a year. You don't need to be an FF to know how to get the best value from the schemes.0 -
I flew to LA with Virgin last year. This gave me enough miles to get £100 off a pair of tickets to New York this year with 2000 miles left over.
Seems good to me.0
