I have logged in to Equifax (Capital One product) and have a new alert today for a Halifax current account (New Credit Agreement Summary)

The account number does not provide any clue - mainly XXX's

Is it possible that Easycash have begun to report account data ?

Anyone else with Capital One alerts wish to check ?

Edit - it may be my Bank of Scotland Reward account (although Equifax list it as Halifax)

  • No alert for me relating to Halifax Easycash today, which suggests that it may indeed have been the Bank of Scotland changes last weekend rather than Halifax Easycash that triggered your alert.

  • I don't know what Halifax /Equifax are up to - however the alert has now disappeared so I am experiencing the same problem others encountered with Equifax last week

Something is definitely wrong, as I had new alerts, but these have now disappeared.

Yesterday's alerts still missing. I saw them briefly and knew they were correct

I have a Halifax Reward Account , Bank of Scotland Reward Account and an Easycash account

The Bank of Scotland account was opened prior to the HBOS merger and did not previously appear on CRA reports

The last digit is the same as my Bank of Scotland Reward Account

incidentally there were two Equifax New Credit Agreement Summary alerts in the early hours today and one of these had the same reference number as the Halifax Reward Account already reporting to Equifax (I checked a previous report)

Equifax have not sent an email advising of the alert

Anyone checking their Capital One Equifax product now is unlikely to see this alert as the disappearing Alerts problem reported by others last week continues , however the alerts are not a cause for concern as one related to an account already appearing on the CRA file

and the other issue of an old Bank of Scotland account which has started to report does not affect many users of this forum

No change in respect of Experian at the moment

It is likely that one of the alerts relates to one of my Bank of Scotland account , so it is odd that it is listed as Halifax at the CRA

AQUA credit cards are reported as Halifax credit cards to CRA's despite the correct name being Bank of Scotland so perhaps Bank of Scotland current accounts report as Halifax
