I did see his article, but still think there is money to be made*

    * Not so much that it begins to be serious though. :-)

So far though, the projected returns on £750 of the £1000 are £960 ish.

    Thanks Madiba.

How long have you been doing it and at what rate?
  • I put £1000 in last March, just put another £1000 in this Jan. I'm currently getting a return of 7.27% gross (excluding bonuses I think) 5.8% net. Hopefully this will rise when my 2nd £1k gets lent out to the 'dodgier' markets.

It's not the first thing I'd suggest anyone to invest in, but if you have some spare money that you want to put somewhere else and you already have money invested elsewhere, go for it.
    Conjugating the verb 'to be":
-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries

It's reasonable enough in the highest risk markets after you have already fully used your cash and stocks and shares ISA allowances and the better regular saver accounts. All of those can be expected to do better than Zopa.

I see that all my Zopa lending is to people using the money for home improvements. Hope Zopa loans aren't secured on an asset bubble
