ARCHOS AV700 - accessories?

Does anyone know if there are any accessories ( e.g. portable hards ) that are compatible and can connect through the USB ports of the AV700?
I have seen a pinhole web type cam advertised which says its compatible, and the instructions suggest that you can connect a usb powered hard drive, but tried a couple I have, and the AV700 says this device is not compatible
any comments please
