Slow dongle speed

Options
A friend could not connect to the Internet through her T-mobile dongle & asked me to look at her Laptop.

It wouldn't connect through LAN (at my house) either, installed & ran Malwarebytes & avg (both found some problems). Afterwards i could connect through LAN so updated both & ran again (this time both found nothing)

Tried to connect dongle (it's the only way she can connect to the Internet at her home as she has to phone line) & it say's it's connected, but only at 53k.

It's so slow that no pages will load.

Checked the coverage map & both 2 & 3 G were good strength.

If the dongle installs its own software, uninstall what is on the laptop, run CCleaner scan for issues if you have that, restart the laptop and insert the dongle to re-install its software. If no change, look for updated software, if there is not any, contact T-Mobile support by e-mail unless they have free phone support numbers.
