Hi,
Much needed advice needed here, I took out a credit card with the Yorkshire bank in 1993 which was active until 2006. I payed ppi on this card almost up until couple of months before i payed it off.
Is it worth attempting to claim back the ppi or is it to old an account??
Thanks
Paul.

Hi Paul
Its not to late you can make a claim as long as you have reasons for it being miss sold to you. Some people on here have been successful with claims from the early 90's. There is no time bar on claiming the only thing you may struggle with is if the banks no longer have the records as they are only legally obliged to keep records for 6 years. If you have statements etc to prove you were paying PPI and the amounts then this will be helpful. You could always request a Subject Access request (SAR) this will mean that they will send you all information that they currently hold on you. Sometimes they go back 10+ years.
Hope this helps and good luck with your claim

Why did you take the PPI out in the first place?0

I didn't know I'd taken it out to be honest, it wasnt until i was having problems paying it, when a lady from YB card services told me how much PPI i was paying and that I didnt need it.0

I have never had a Yorkshire bank credit card but credit cards have itemised statements. Did you not see it there every month?0
