I had insurance on my mortage if i come out of work or of sick does any no if i can claim this back?

  • On the basis of what you have said, no.

    You took an insurance policy which, had you been unable to work through illness or redundancy, would have met your mortgage repayments for you, thus protecting you from the risk of losing your home.

    That is what insurance does, it protects against the financial consequences of an unfortunate and unforeseen event.

    Insurance is not reclaimable, only refundable with interest if found to be mis-sold.
    There is nothing wrong with having insurance.

    Most people do have insurance. What makes you think you can claim it back.
