Does anyone know if more or less financial help is available if I attend University as a mature student?
I finish my college course this year and would be starting uni in september, when I will be 20. From my parents earnings I would have a grant of around £1500 and a loan of £3,280.
Does anyone know how things would be if I joined uni in 2008 at the age of 21, as this would classify me as a mature student?
Sorry for such a simple question, i've tried to see my course information officer at college but she's never available when I need her!

Hi, just checked on the ucas site and a mature student is classed as someone over 25, sorry!

Yep, definitely 25, or financially independent from your parents for at least three years (I think it is three?).
