Help, favouries have gone

Started up pc this morning and all my favourites have gone, my teenage son was on last night and says "he's done nothing" (as he would). I have xp and use firefox.

this has happened to us a few times with firefox..
cant remember how we sorted it! not very helpful I know. someone much more clever than me will be along to tell you how.
just wanted to back your son up

use system restore

to go back to before you son "did nothing"

no data gets lost

Might be worth a read - this has happened to me before and I'm sure I started Firefox up in safe-mode to resolve it

the red ***** are your user account name, the second red bit mike bit slightly different.

C:\Documents and Settings\**********\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\7ljruxub.default

goto bookmarkbackups

right click the latestbackup select copy

go back a directory
paste the backup there. delete the file bookmarks.html
now rename the file you just copied bookmarks.html

that should do it.
