Hi all,
Not the usual chat thread for me, you can usually find me in the shopping posts!
I have had an ipod for 2 years and everything went swimmingly. However I never updated the software - it took too long and I liked the way the old one worked. So when my boyfriend got a new ipod for xmas and registered it, he dowloaded the updated software to our computer.
Now, my ipod won't be recognized and therefore I can't update my library. Any ideas on what I can do? (or previous threads I have missed?)
Thanks v much.

Do you mean installed iTunes 7 onto the computer? If so, you might have to upgrade your iPod's own software - http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/0 -

Thanks for the tip. I tried it and the computer eventually recognizes there is a corrupt ipod on the system, but when I ask it to restore to factory settings and download the new software, it says there is an error.
I will not be buying another one if it doesnt work... I am hopping straight over to Sony!!!0 -
