My DD is going back to uni tomorrow and has requested 8 jars of pasta sauce which she says will be her part of shared meal on Saturday evenings for this term.
Does anyone know of anywhere which has a BOGOF or an offer on today please?
Thank you

Asda generally have pasta sauces on 2 for £2, which equates to a saving of about 50p, and they are always branded ones as well, e.g. dolmio. Hope this helps xMFW

I noticed that Tesco had Homepride sauces on BOGOF,not sure what flavours they do though, sorry. Also, I know you said pasta sauces, but they also had 'Chicken tonight' on BOGOF. (My dinner tonight!)

Dolmio Microwaveable Express Bolognese Sauce 170g is two for £2. Various types/flavours.
Has she thought about making pasta sauces. They are very easy and cheap there are loads of suggestions on the old style board.

Thank you so much. I'll be able to save quite a bit.
Rikki - My thoughts exactly. At home we would never dream of buying a sauce - that's why I needed some help, I just never look.
DD is in catered halls (not by choice but it is very good) so they have NO facilities to do scratch cooking. It is the 'halls' 40th Birthday this year and I honestly don't think it has changed since day one!
They have a work top grill with two rings on top, a basic microwave and a kettle between the whole floor. NO electrical equipment allowed in room and very strickt on this. Only one can be on at a time or the electric trips. If this happens they are fined (I think, there is some consequence)
They don't have a freezer so I can't make a batch and send it with her. I alway load DS1 up with as many 'chinese take-away' boxes as he can fit in his freezer.
She doesn't have a lot of choice - cooking is not encouraged! All meals which are provided are very good, just Sat and Sun night she needs so I have the point of view that she is best to have pasta and a jar of sauce as the alternative is take-away pizza or Chinese which would be far more.

Thank you shelf-life and JJJ
I've bookmarked those sites to look at later.
Reluctantly off to buy Jars of Sauce now but at least I know she will eat then and wont waste her money on too many take-aways.Love living in a village in the country side0 -
