Can anyone tell me why my laptop screen goes dark and dim and stays like it !
Won 2010: Butlins 5 day Break and £250, 1 yr Virgin Active membership, Meal for 10 at Best Parties Ever, skyline 2011 dvd.

Can anyone tell me why my laptop screen goes dark and dim and stays like it !
Have you got it plugged in or on battery?
If your running it on battery most laptops reduce the brightness of the screen to save battery life, hold the FN key and press the right cursor key a few times should brighten it.
If you have the power in, look in the power settings, you may find the setting for mains has been set as the same as for battery and hence going dark.0 -
Screen inverter is on its last legs if its going out completely and you don't have a laptop that automatically sets the brightness based on the ambient light conditions.0
