Hello,
I would like to purchase the following (Nintendo Wii console bundle (Black) with Wii Fit Plus and Balance Board), does anyone have any ideas where the best place is to purchase this, would it be better to buy separate or as a bundle?
Thanks for your advice.

I always use google product search with http://www.megashopbot.com/ as a backup.0

Unless you are desperate for a Wii (No pun intended!) I would wait. The new console is coming out soon and these will become even cheeper. Plenty will come available 2nd hand as well.0

Check your local Cash Generators/Coverters type places, i wouldn't be too fussed about the colour if i'm being honest, you can pick white ones up dirt cheap second hand. As for Wii Fit, that'll be pricey still, first party nintendo gear still commands a high resell value, you can pick up third party stuff which will work but i have doubts over their reliability long term.Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0

Is the reason you want a Wii purely for the balance board? both PS3 and xbox have competition out for the Wii (move for ps3 and kinnect for x box) both have a good range of exercise games and the motion sensing equipment is a lot more efficient and accurate for them.
As another poster has said, Nintendo are bringing the Wii-u out soon which will mean the start of the death of the wii, Nintendo havent really supported the console over the last year or so and I would imagine once the new one is out it would almost be forgotten.
Nintendo seem to be spending all their efforts on the DS where they are still market leaders.bluenoseam wrote: »Check your local Cash Generators/Coverters type places, i wouldn't be too fussed about the colour if i'm being honest, you can pick white ones up dirt cheap second hand. As a rule I would avoid places like cash converters, eby etc, if you look down the second hand route go places like game, or gamestation.
I sure you have heard of the ring of death etc, a lot of these can be botch repaired for example of ring of death repair you simply blow into the cd drive with a hair dryer. It will work for a couple of months and go again. least with places like Game and gamestation they are checked and have a longer warranty on them.
But to answer your original question, you will generally find bundles cheaper overall in preference to buying each separately.0 -
Firstly the Wii was generally quite a solid console reliability wise - hence the pawn shop route, where you're still covered under warranty, however given the nature of their business they're usually cheaper than Game(station), prior to Wii-U coming out they're relaunching the Wii itself though, re-orientation from vertical to horizontal & removing the Gamecube backwards compatibility. Secondly, i would actually agree with the notion of a better console (360/PS3) - i would suggest getting a PS3 & a copy of EA Active 2, it kicks your backside properly does need a fair bit of space though, Nintendo haven't dropped the console, but it's definately going to be the first of the three consoles with an obituary column that's for sure.Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0
