child tax credit question

HI i hope some one can help mine and my partners tax credits are based on this years earnings,2011-2012. this is because he took a lesser paid job after being made redandunt.i know when its based on the years before income you have the disregard if you earn more the year after.if my partner gets a pay rise and doesnt inform them until renewal time will we have been over paid as we are based on current year,its not a massive pay rise about £200 ish per year

Yes, this is correct. If you do not inform them of the correct salary for the year then you will be overpaid. There is no income disregard if it's based on the current years estimate. xx0
