Applying for another credit card from same issuer

I'm looking to apply for a Barclaycard 0% purchases credit card, to allow me to pay off my car insurance gradually. However, I already have another Barclaycard.
The reason I'm specifically looking at this one is because Noddle suggests it's the card I have the most chance of getting. I've applied for the Tesco 0% purchases card in the past and was initially accepted, decided not to take it, applied about a month later and then was declined! oops.. so I'm a little apprehensive about applying for it again.
So the question is - can you apply for more than one card from the same issuer? Would it hinder my chances in getting the card?

Ignore what's been recommended to you by a credit reference agency.
These are notoriously inaccurate.
You should try this:

I recommend the Creation 13 Month purchases card; they are easy to be approved for.
Good luck!Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Thanks for the tip! I've given it a go, and the majority came up as a 6/10 chance of approval, including the one you recommended. Is the Money Supermarket rating more accurate than, say, the credit reference agencies then? 6/10 doesn't seem great odds for applying, although I might just have to give it a go...
I'm a bit scared of doing what I did last year - making too many applications for cards, getting declined, and then scuppering my chances of getting any! I got a bit greedy last year though, hoping I could find a card with a bigger credit limit in order the pay off my car insurance in full (again!), and was blissfully unaware of the fact that doing consecutive searches for credit actually looks bad on your credit file.0 -
Yeah, 6/10 isn't great.
They are more accurate that the CRA checks from what I've seen but still inaccurate.
There's no way to be overly sure before applying really.
I would still have a punt at the Creation 13 months 0% Purchases card - it's the easiest one of the bunch to be approved forCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

You can't hold two Barclaycards either, well some say there's some obscure combination but I've never witnessed it."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0

Not any more. Apply these days with a Barclaycard in your wallet already and it's a polite no in the post.
That is to say Barclaycard branded Barclaycards. You could hold, for example, a Thomas COok card and an Orange card simultaneously.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Seems to be true. I have a Barclaycard, an Egg Card, an Egg Money card (both owned by Barclaycard), and have just been accepted for a Hilton Honours card (operated by Barclaycard):DWe need the earth for food, water, and shelter.

I have a Barclaycard Cashback (previously Morgan Stanley, years ago) and I applied for the latest Barclaycard Platinum BT offer - I was accepted. Much to my surprise.
(I also have both Egg cards, so I will shortly have 4 Barclaycards - or they will close down some of them)0
