Customers on the following products will not see their prices change on 10 November 2011:
• Annual Fix version 1 (Closing on 31 Dec 2011) and Annual Fix version 2
• Fixed Price 2013, Fixed Price 2014 (withdrawn on 14 Sept 2011) Fixed Price 2015
• Fixed S@ver version 1 and Fixed S@ver version 2
• Fix for 2012
• Online S@ver version 7, Online S@ver version 9, Online S@ver version 10 and Online S@ver version 12
• Energy S@ver version 2
That is from the edf FAQ.
I still get my unchanged prices when I search for a better deal so maybe these tariffs are going to remain unchanged...
I guess I will have to wait untill October the 11th to see if EDF inform me they are putting my prices up...
No contace about price rise = no price rise0 -
Hi,
I've just fallen into the trap of switching away from EDF because i believed i wouldn't have to pay a fee to leave before the contract expired in April 2012. i'm on a variable rate for electricity and rang EDF to advise i would be switching. they advised i would be charged £50 penalty. To verify this i rang consumer direct via the Ofgem website who confirmed they are permitted to charge this despite the relevant variations in the change of contract. :mad:0 -

What tariff is this?
When were you given notice of the price increase?
Did you give notice to EDF that you rejected their price increase and intended to switch?
What date and how did you give that notice?
What were the grounds for refusal to waive the charges?
How were you notified of that refusal?
If you provide all of the above information, I will be able to advise further.0
