Overtime and tax credits

Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help me. I recieve help towards my childcare from FTC. I have the potential to do overtime at work. Does anyone know how much I can earn over my declared estimated income for this year without having to pay back FTC?
I know it sounds bad but if doing the overtime means paying back money I am ultimately working for free. I'm not lazy but it seems silly to spend time away from my kids if it is not going to be of benefit financially.
Also, if I am able to get lots of overtime (taking my wage way over my estimated income for this year) can I tell FTC now and stop recieving benefit or will my overall earnings be looked at in April 12 and I will be made to pay back money?#
I hope that makes sense
Any replies greatly appreciated

Just to clarify my last question;
What I mean is if i do lots of overtime from now until April 12, declare it now and stop recieving FTC. In april 12 will I be made to pay back money I have recieved from April11 until now when my wage was lower? Will they just look at my earnings as a whole over the year and the money I've had so far will be classed as an overpayment?0 -
If you gave WTC an accurate income figure for the period 2010 - 2011 you can go over this figure by £10,000 between now and next April and not be overpaid.0
