What is the ETA of a DLA appeal nowadays?

Had my decision letter a few weeks back so put in my GL24 appeal request. Today (as I really expected) I have heard back from DWP with no change to their original decision and copies of all the paperwork about 80 sides of text.

So it looks like I need to get ready for my face to face at the Tribunal. I read so many times they can take a year for the date to come through but what are the current experiences of you here as to time scales.

Comments

  • My Tribunal was back in January, so a while ago now, but took approximately 9 months. I was quite lucky though and got a fairly short notice cancellation.

ETA: When you exercise the right to ask for Tribunal, they do give you a rough timescale.

    Thanks Careful with that Axe

Can I ask when the nine months was from. The original submission of your DLA claim or a later point?
  • iirc, it was from the submission of the form stating I wanted to go to Tribunal.

Thanks for that and in my case it looks like the appeal hearing will be after my LRC award runs out
