£10 First Class Upgrade and a FREE Brunch!

Actually this should read - You can sit in a FIRST CLASS SEAT & EAT a First Class Cooked Meal for £9.95 - You can sit in the seat for as long as you're reasonably engaged in the process of eating your meal.

The Train Staff are were trying really hard to bring back this service by Public request. I enjoyed the above; all the way from Reading to Bristol.

A basic upgrade M-F is £38 just to sit in first class!

I got ONE FIRST CLASS UPGRADE, a 3 egg scrambled egg, bacon, toast, juice and freely replenished hot beverage. Actually 2x PG and a Mint tea to finish, which I stepped off the train with in my juice cup. Just the drinks "off the Trolley" on on the platform would have come to nearly £10. :T

I hope they bring this back on Virgin west coast. I used to do this all the time -however I learnt the trick from a titled gentleman who would not lower himself to travel 2nd class but did not want to pay. So I think they will lose a few current first class paying customers to 2nd class if they do.
