Life insurance for six weeks?

Six weeks into a new job I've just been informed that I'm not covered by their "Death in Service" provision until I am entitled to join their pension scheme (in another six weeks) - being kind souls they are giving me £20 month to organise my own provision for that period (nice to know at the beginning, but there you go).
I've spent some time looking at the websites of several life insurance providers but the minumum terms seem to be about 1 year - can anyone suggest a company that would run a policy for six weeks?
