Hi, I am thinking of changing my car insurence company, at the moment i am with the Co-op and they have been fine so far, but i would like to save a bit of money although only if the new provider is good. I have had a look on Insuresupermarket.com for other quotes. The cheapest one is Groupama and the provider is the post office. I have been quoted £67.09 PA fully comp, Legal costs £24.00: Courtesy car provided if needed: voluntary access £100.
Is any of you guys insured with Groupama and what do you think of them?
I do realise that cheap is not always good so need a bit of help deciding.
Thanks.

First of all Groupama is the insurer, the post office is merely the scheme (for PO customers).
£67.09 is awfully cheap. Either you are
 a) quite old
 b) drive a group 1 vehicle
 c) live in the Scottish highlands
 or
 d) someone has made a mistake somewhere.
Also check the voluntary excess is not in addition to a compulsory excess.
Groupama are a large insurance company, well funded but not always the best customer service.0

Hi mattymoo, Thanks for reading my plea. I thought that £67.09 was cheap. Yes i am well over 21. I drive a 1987 volkswagen Golf which was my mothers until she died, she had only done 5000 miles in it, so it was hardly used. No i don't live in the Scottish highlands but do live in a very quiet village where B***r all happens. I do agree with you that the quote is probably a mistake seems too cheap to be real, so i will give them a ring to get another quote.
Thanks for the tip about the voluntary excess, i will "grill" them about that.
I will check out someother insurers, i have got bags of time still and the Coop is always dependable. :beer:20p savers club

At that age (the car, not you) a lot of people look to only insure TPFT and not fully comp although I understand the price difference is not that great on some occasions. Just bear in mind that even a small amount of damage is likely to render the car an economic write off and many insurers will not provide a courtesy car in these situations.0

Groupama is a comp that deal with Low risk drives. They offer huge discounts depending on where you live, work, age, car and many other factors.
Groupama is part of a mutinational insurance group and is certainly not small in comparison to many other insurers out there.
 Have a look here

Oh they are always cheaper at comprehensive insurane and through brokers they tend not to offer TPFT
