Cheap car hire at Alicante Airport.

I have just booked a flight and Villa in Spain for 10 days in August and was wondering if anybody new of a Cheap car hire company.

I would need to collect the vehicle on arrival and drop on day of departure (as our Villa is 60 miles from airport)

Thanks

Mark

    Second that (CarJet.co.uk)

They are brokers who work to find you the best deal. One thing to note though is you pay for a full tank of fuel on collection, and return the vehicle empty. This should not be a problem for you over 10 days, but there are no refunds for any fuel returned in the car.

Carjet prices have been quite uncompetitive recently.

Try Argus for a quote and use Quidco too. If you join the Argus club, you get 5% off too.

As pointed out above, most of these web sites are brokers. The actual car hire company at Alicante will have its own terms and conditions. In addition to the full-empty or full-full fuel situation, you also need to check for insurance excesses (not a problem with Carjet or Argus) and wheels, tyres and glass insurance. This is usually the only exclusion from the all-inclusive insurance cover and can be bought at the counter for €10-15 per hire.

There are many other threads on this board on this subject. You need to read them too.

In my experience you're better off Googling car hire at Alicante and try to find a local car hire company - rates are usually better and you;re not paying a broker.
  • Try this company and see how you get on;

    https://www.arrowcars.es

They are based in the Costa del Sol but cover all areas. They are agents like 99% of all the other companies and so it is all about good prices and good service. They tick all my boxes and I have continued using them for a while now and will do so until someone better comes along.

    Good luck

We've used https://www.doyouspain.com/ ,the service was great and the price even better! Their website now states that you can leave the tank full when you return the car, which means you won't get ripped off for overpriced fuel either. I had a quick look and you can get a 5 door Clio for £110.50 for 10 days in August.
We hired a Berlingo from them last year, and although it wouldn't win any beauty contests it was certainly roomy!!

Can't see that there now. I know it was for a while, and they seemed to increase their prices to take account of that. But their T&C now read as everyone else's.

I would suggest www.moneysupermarket.com as it searches all. Can recommend Argus, but not used at Alicante...... didn't know about a club though, so off to investigate.....

Sorry, I've just booked my Almeria pick-up and it says to leave it with a full tank and you won't get charged, but it doesn't show that on the Alicante quote.
    My apologies.
