Last Minute Holiday Chaos :/

Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone had any experience/advice with changes being made to holiday accommodation that might be able to help me out.

I booked a holiday to Cala LLonga, Ibiza with lastminute.com and I'm due to fly out in 14 days. Just got home from work and there's an email from them to say that the hotel has suddenly closed and that alternative accommodation is being offered in Playa de'n Bossa which is 15 miles out of Cala Llonga. The hotel is of the same standard but I'm reluctant to accept the change as we did specifically want to stay in Cala LLonga, what with Ibiza being known mostly for clubbing and partying I was keen to avoid hoards of 20 somethings and blaring dance music until the early hours.

I understand that I can decline the change and get a refund, but with flights and transfers all booked separately I think I could be a bit of a nightmare to cancel the accommodation at this point and try and get in somewhere else. Has anyone ever had any luck getting another alternative offered to them? Possibly even a cheeky upgrade for the inconvenience?

Any advice or tips would be great

Is it booked separately all with last minute.com, or you've done it separately. Ask them what accommodation the've got in cala llonga and tell them thats where you want. If they haven't anything look for accomm with someone else and if you find something book that and get a refund for that bit. As for cancelling it all i'm not sure if you can do that if they're low cost carrier flights, i don't know the rules for that situation.

Santa Eulalia is not far from Cala Llonga its a bigger resort that may be more suitable than Playa de'n Bossa or try these in Cala Llonga and see if they have any availability, staff in office are great and English
