Blockbuster return - no receipt

Am I right in thinking that you don't need a receipt to return a faulty item? I bought the StarWars blu-ray set from Blockbuster at the weekend, and foolishly threw away the receipt - but the sound is dodgy on one of the discs. Do I just need to take in my credit card statement? It shows that I made a purchase from them, but obviously doesn't say what I bought.
