Help parking eye fine

help!!
Have received a parking fine through the post from parking eye for £90 ! ! ! (£60 if paid early) for pulling up at fistral beach, newquay for 50 minutes at 8 o'clock at night!
I did not buy a ticket as we did not leave the car as we had just stopped to eat some food, watch the sun go down etc
We were not seen by a warden so I can only assume the reg number is entered on the ticket machine and this is cross checked with the cameras at the entrance which we were not aware of,
Not very fair in my opinion !
All the advice i have seen on this site is not to pay although all the other scenarios are at 2hr max stay car parks and not pay and display
Any helpful advice out there for another angry motorist
Helpppppp!!!!:(

You'll probably get a few more letters over the next few weeks - ignore them all and feed them to your shredder. This space has been intentionally left blank0

It's not a fine, it's an invoice, which is easy to ignore.
Ignore Parking Spy, you don't owe them a penny.
The landowner might have suffered a small loss (if that car-park had P&D in operation that time of night, so say 1 hour parking is 60p the most they would have lost is 50p. If you pay Parking Eye, they will only come back asking for more money.
You are right, they use cameras cross-checked against the database of reg numbers entered when paying.
Look at this thread for the letter-chain you will get in the mail: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/22148030 -
does the parking fine have the word penalty any where on it?0

Thanks guys,
This info is realy helpful!
Im off downstairs to the shredder as we speak:T
No cant see "penalty" anywhere on the "invoice" ! lol0 -
1st ITS NOT A FINE, its a request for you to give them some cash.
2nd don't shred keep in the bottom drawer for posterity and get them out every few months so you can see there is nothing to be concerned about.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
