We are getting married at 4 pm, having 3 or 4 course meal at around 6/6.30 pm and then just having the cake, sweetie buffet and a large cheese board for guests to eat later in the evening.

We are having tea/coffee/juice, sandwiches, sausage rolls...that kind of thing. We have 150 guests eating a four-course meal earlier at a cost of about £45 each so decided not to stretch to anything more fancy in the evening!
Getting married to a wonderful lady on August 10, 2012.

Need to save up, lose weight, reduce my money worries and get back to being the real me! :j

paella doesn't HAVE to be seafood! you can have it veggie or chicken and mushroom or anything! contact them and ask what other things they'll do!
    Life on a shoestring!

Just saw this at a party this week and now I'm seriously having second thoughts about our evening catering!

Pint glass - couple of scoops of mashed potato, sausage, gravy. long spoons/forks. GENIUS!
You can easily do veggie versions, loads of different flavours of sausage for variety, add some beans or peas if you want.

It's cheap - REALLY easy to serve and carry about, and fun!

We are getting married at 4pm so are having the wedding breakfast at around 6.30 pm and then not feeding our guests any other 'meal' as such; we will have wedding cake, a large cheese board and sweetie buffet there for people to help themselves too. We aren't having any separate evening guests so think this should be fine. We are getting married at Edinburgh Zoo and our guests get free entry to the zoo on the day so we decided to have a later ceremony so they could enjoy the zoo first (and hopefully they will all get something to eat from around the zoo before the ceremony). I think that will be enough food.
