Samsung CLX-3160FN Laser multifunction

I have a Samsung CLX-3160FN colour laser multifunctional printer. I'm having trouble with the print quality of images and can't find anything by googling, by sifting through the manual or the online troubleshooting guide, or by searching this forum.

On printed pages, any typing is fine, its just images that are streaky with poor colour quality. The rest of the page is fine with no problems at all.

Could it be a print drum problem? Or something much cheaper to fix?

The drum will normal give lines down a page ona laser printer, have you run the cleaning proceedures, if so and the lines are still there then its change the drum time, normaly with most printers this can be between 4-6 toners usage then the drum needs replacing

Thanks, that's what I suspected. Any advice on best price suppliers of drums - other than the usual Amazon/Dabs/Ebuyer?

it depends on how fussy you are with having an original drum unit, if your happy enough I would say look at the compatible ones 9 times out of 10 just as good and a lot cheaper !

google compatible/remanfactured and look for a site that offers warranties against its products, dont just go for the cheapest as they could be grey imports and will cause more trouble !
