Son just enrolled on at college, what are our entitlements?

if it's listed as a full time course then that should be enough for CB etc. A quick call to your sons college should clarify it all.0

That is equivalent to 3 A levels.0 -
If the college is calling it a full time course then it is classed as so. They know the rules and by those rules they have classed it a full time course, so when/if you are asked you say it is a full time course and therefore 12 hours or more. They wont ask what actual hours he attends only if its classed as a full time course. Have you included tutor attendance in the hours you are working out, my son had to attend tutor for an hour every week compulsory. If you have any problems contact the college as they have rules on what is classed as a full time course.0

Again thanks for the advice, I'm going to call the benefits office tomorrow and just tell them my son is doing a full time course and see where i go from there.

I'll post back tomorrow and let you know how i get on

Just posting back to say I spoke to the college first and they said to just add on the extra time slot "skills building Library" which makes it up to 13.5 hours pw. I then rang Child Benefit and Tax credits and they were very helpful and said they will backdate and continue paying me as before

Thanks again for all your help..0 -
Glad you got it sorted.0
