Should I Complain?

Hmm...Most of these get shot down but I'd like opinions.
To summarize, I've just been to Greece. Where we went too was advertised as secluded and on the beach, when in reality it was neither.
Anyway, my main complaint is that when we turned up, we were turned away from the hotel. No one would tell us why, they just sent us to another (horrible ) hotel.
The next day they sent a taxi at 9am to move us hotels, but we couldn't have our new room until mid-day, and had to wait in reception. Check out time in the worse hotel wasn't until 2pm, but they wanted to give the room to someone else.
We weren't happy, and they offered us a room upgrade, eventually, after a lot of messing about with reps and the hotel arguing. We accepted this - and then got told that we'd need to change rooms the next day, at 9am again. We probably wouldn't have accepted if we'd know this, but we took all our stuff down again the next day, to be told our new room wouldn't be available until mid-day again.
In an attempt to salvage the holiday we spoke to the rep, who recommended some excursions. We explained we didn't want to travel far, and that's why we hadn't rented a car. She picked three trips for us, which we booked - they cost about £300 all together. The first one involved us sitting on a coach for five hours there, and five hours back - pretty much all day just picking up other people from their hotels.
The other two were much the same, although slightly shorter times on the coach, and on the last one the tour guide admitted he had no idea what he was doing and was using the legend outside to guide us around. He had to keep running back to check things, or telling us to check on the way out. The tour in front was much, much better but he slowed us all down when he heard we were listening.
The hotel gave us the worst room out of the category we were upgraded too, and later upgraded another couple to put next door - they would be nieghbours from hell, smoking in the pool (shared between the two rooms) and playing the same Bob Marley track on repeat and very loud all day. They also liked to do some very private things in the pool, while we had our doors open and were on the patio, and used our patio as their diving board as the sun moved across.
We did get the room upgrade, so I'm unsure if I should write to head office and complain? I'm feeling a bit bitter that the excursions were so dreadful when they were so expensive, and now we are home we are being told to complain by a lot of people...If I do complain, how do I go about writing it in the letter?
Gahh!
