So difficult trying to get a kitchen planned

OP, what do you actually WANT from your new kitchen?

Once you present the designer with a blank room and a list of REQUIREMENTS, then they can design.

You've presented them with a solution, not a requirement.

    Requirements can be expressed as

    More drawer space
    More cupboard space
    More worktop
    Oven at eye level
    Sink at window

    etc etc

The Photobucket album is a private one, and needs a password to view it.

I've changed it to a public album, so no password needed now.

I don't see how I've presented a solution at all - admittedly I may not have made things perfectly clear. The kitchen is being moved to a room that is not presently used as a kitchen, therefore the restraints are that the sink has to go in a certain place to avoid extra plumbing work. Apart from that I would like plenty of storage, and a design that works well and looks good - the design I've shown is pretty good, but there is no worktop adjacent to the oven which I would think is not very practical, hence my asking for advice.

    OK here goes:

I couldn't upload the images, so the above is a link to them.

There are a couple of things to note,

    1. The sink has to stay in that area for plumbing reasons

    2. I'm having separate fridge and freezer, each 60cm.

Hope you can make sense of this,

    Thanks,:)

Can you put something up which has the dimensions of the kitchen on it? Not very easy to work out a scale on something that is scanned, uploaded, then downloaded and printed...
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

Hopefully this will be clearer - the kitchen space is a blank canvas, the sink needs to be positioned on a wall adjacent to the bathroom. I am hoping to have room for side by side fridge and freezer, 60cm each, larder of 40cm (min) and double oven, five burner hob, and a breakfast bar please!

I've been told that I'm asking for too much in this space, but I don't believe I am - what do you think?:)

I thought it was against building regulations to have a toilet room opening directly into a kitchen, as yours appears to do? I thought an intermediate hallway or other room was required.

Even if it isn't, it would majorly put me off a house.

Not against building regs. I know it's not ideal but best we could do, and tbh we don't plan on moving any time soon, otherwise wouldn't bother with all the building works.

Well, I've been playing around with your plan, changing this and changing that and to be honest, your plan works and looks good. There isn't anything I would really do differently!

    Now there's a first :D

Instead of from left to right - fridge/freezer/double oven/larder/worktop towards corner and hob - could you not swap round the tall units so that the oven is next to the worktop eg f/f/l/oven or l/f/f/oven.
