Hi all,
I've received an Excel spreadsheet file (.xls) and sadly I don't have Excel so I cannot open it. Is there any 'cheat' method I could use via another program/online please?
I can't ask for it to be sent via another software package or plain text/html as it has come from Bangkok (long story!) and it's taken 2 weeks for them to manage this task already!
Any help/advice would be very much appreciated.
Many thanks in advance,
Penny

Google did the trick again!

I think there is free office type software on this forum somewhere. If you do a search you will find it.

The free software is OpenOffice. You'll find it easily on Google. But the viewer mentioned above might be simpler if you only want to look at the spreadsheet, not make changes to it. You can open Excel in Word but it has to convert it so you really need to be careful about whether it is from a trustworthy source.0
