maybe you could pay the debt you actually owe? this site is about perople saving money legitimately not avoiding debts they owe. Every time somebody defaults costs for the rest of us goes up, how ironic that monetsavingexpert encourages perople to default on their debts. Kinda like encouraging queue jumping as a solution to long queues!0

Hold your horses there bub. This forum is not and has never been about avoiding debts, and indeed, it isn't even statute barred if you deliberately avoid a debt. Statute Barred means that the creditor has never pursued the debt and this often happens when they sell it to these debt collection houses who make a habbit of harassing people regardless of whether they are guilty or not. If a creditor cannot be bothered to actually chase a debt after 6 years, then the law says that their ability to do so does not continue into perpetuity. Avoiding the debt is another matter and such behaviour is never condoned on the forum. Also, we try to make it a rule not to judge here. We are all volunteers spending our evenings attempting to help those genuinely mis-informed, lost or just plain harassed individuals who have genuinely fallen foul of some pretty ruthless and unpleasant people. Those creditors don't hesitate to use the law when it suits them, but most people are unaware of their own rights in these matters.
Finally, the original creditor will have long forgotten about this debt and the actual outfit pursuing this are in reality wholly money driven and don't care about anything but the bottom line. They will use any and all tactics right up to outright lies in order to extract a debt that has long since expired through inaction by the original creditor.Debt Free! Long road, but we did it

We are meant to be restrained with newbs, but in your first post you have proven to be an illiterate judgemental troll who knows nothing about how the lending institutions work.
It's a myth that bad debts are the cause of higher interest for others - that's just what they want you to think.
Why don't you make this your first and last post fool......Happiness, is a Kebab called Doner.....:heart2::heart2:0 -
