Mallorca temps

Hi,
Had a villa holiday in Corfu a few weeks ago, the temperatures were high at 32 deg C every day but my kids are real water babes and it was brilliant the villa pool was 28+ every day, sea even warmer.
Looking at Mallorca possibly next year, a lot of the average weather websites seem a bit old data. I am thinking that Mallorca in mid-August wouldn't be this hot and an unheated pool a bit cooler?
Bit cautious after a bad experience in Portugal where pool was surprisingly cool, but not helped by strong sea breeze (won't make that mistake again)
Anyone been out there in August, how did you find it?
Thanks

Unusually this August was sub 30 degreees (generally) although it did get hotter towards the end of the month. Early September has been hotter 32+ although weather due to break this weekend. Do remember though that the temperature does differ across the island and it is often the high humidity that people have problems with rather than the high temperatures.0

Thanks - I don't mind anything 24+ really!
Although around typically 30 in Portugal I think the problem was that Villa was up on the cliff facing the sea and it was constantly windy and that was cooling the exposed pool.
Corfu was even hotter and sheltered so a very warm pool. I shall be avoiding exposed villas directly on the coast in Mallorca.
I guess I am trying to gauge which was the major effect of the temperature difference - the wind cooling, the higher air temperature or equally a bit of both and if going to cooler Mallorca would mean a less enjoyable pool or will it be OK just without the sea breeze on it.
Anyone check their pool thermometer out there for me? :TEuropean for 3 weeks in August, the rest of the year only British and proud.0 -
I came back from majorca last week and it was well into the high 20's if not 30s so I imagine August would be a lot warmer.0

hi sillygoose, you would probably get specific advice on the tripadvisor mallorca forum.0

13th - 27th August this year lowest temp 36, highest 40!
It was a bit unseasonally warm this year in those 2 weeks. Usually a pleasant 30-36.
Oh no just remembered where we were last month and looked at the weather forecast for this weekend0
